Coach Any luck getting your parents and wrestlers to help at the state
tournament? We still need help, specifically Friday night. Thanks for
your help. Don Parents and Wrestlers: This year Vestavia Wrestling Club
has the honor to host the Youth and Middle School State Wrestling
Championships. Many of the wresters on our team came up through our
youth program. In addition, we have several siblings on the club team.
The State tournament is on Friday and Saturday, February 25 and 26th. I
would like to request each wrestler invest in the club and at the same
time, receive community service hours, by volunteering to run a table
during the tournament. We will also be hosting the Battle of the Best -
1a-5a state champ vs the 6a state champ exhibition, which will be held
Saturday Please volunteer for one or more of the below slots. Attached
is a schedule of the Tournament. Friday, February 25, 5pm to 7:30pm -
Table Help 7:30pm to 10pm - Table Help Saturday, February 26th 8am to
10:30am - Table Help 10:30am to 1pm - Table Help 1pm to 3:30pm - Table
Help 3:45 -Battle of the Best 5pm to - 8 pm - Table Help - State Finals
Come help and watch our upcoming Rebel Wrestlers in the State

FW: Pizitz wrestlers

 

Dear Pizitz Wrestling Families,

Your son has the opportunity to wrestle again in the State Youth    Tournament on February 25-26th.  This tournament is hosted by

the Vestavia Wrestling Club and we would love your help!  We need    people to work the ticket/gate, concession stand, hospitality room 

and tables in the gym.

We are ordering t-shirts for all of our volunteer workers.  The    shirts are royal blue with the Vestavia Wrestling Club logo on them.

we are selling them at cost for $7.  If you think you may be able to    volunteer anytime during the weekend, please go ahead and let 

Allyson McLean know so she can reserve you a shirt.  Even if you end    up not being able to help, you can wear the shirt all year.

If your son is competing or not, he can come help work the    tournament....we need table workers for all 8 mats that we're running.     He can order a shirt too.

Shirt sizes are youth small- x-large; Adult small- 4xlarge

Attach is the format we have found useful in high school.  If you  could get the eight grade parents to complete the blank form and email back,  that would be great (they could also fax it to my office to my attention at  802-7854).  The reason we get more information is for carpooling  purposes.  Some of the younger parents 9/10 grade, looks for older  wrestlers to bring their children home after practice and sometime take them to  6:30am practices.  Especially the early morning trips to wrestling  tournaments.  I also make a sheet with only names and phone numbers when  the season first begins to give to the parents for traveling purposes. Once I  get 50% of the children I will start compiling a new form with  2011vhhsinfo.
